Rental Rehabilitation
Available in St. Louis county.
Helping Improve Rentals Our Communities Rely On
Our Rental Rehabilitation Program supports rental property owners in the Quad Cities (Virginia, Eveleth, Mountain Iron, and Gilbert) by helping them make necessary renovations to long-term rental properties, enhancing the overall safety, quality, and livability of rental housing for our community.
Eligibility
- Rental property owners (one to six units) within the Quad Cities of Virginia, Mt. Iron, Eveleth, and Gilbert
- Confirmation project (or project phase) has not started construction. AEOA will conduct an initial
site visit and document with photos. The agency reserves the right to award grants to projects that have
started, but an inspection must occur prior to construction to ensure eligibility and document existing
conditions
How it Works
The program offers a dollar-for-dollar match on eligible renovation expenses, up to $15,000 per unit. A $250 application fee will be required at the initial inspection and will be processed after completion of work. Select the ‘Learn More’ button below to view more details and responsibilities.
