YouthBuild is a community-based pre-apprenticeship program that provides job training and educational opportunities for at-risk youth ages 16-24 who have dropped out of high school or are in an alternative school setting and are interested in developing skills in the construction field.

Youth receive construction and carpentry skills while working toward their GED or high school diploma. Construction training takes place in both classroom settings and at work sites. Construction projects focus on low-income housing and non-profit organizations. Youth work on several projects ranging from demolition and renovation to new construction.
Contact us or fill out the short form below, and our team will contact you with more information and help you register if you are interested. This is not an application.
If you are experiencing a housing emergency, our Living Independently from Experience (LIFE) program may be able to help.
AEOA receives YouthBuild funds from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). Mark Page, Executive Director, and Tawnya Maras, Youth Services Manager, directly oversee and manage this grant contract and funds. To reach them, please call 1-800-662-5711.
