Empowering Workers to Return to the Workforce with Confidence

If you have lost your job through no fault of your own, AEOA can help you return to the workforce. Our services are designed to meet your individual needs.

 

Eligibility

If you have received a layoff notice, are unemployed or underemployed, contact us to find out if you are eligible. To be eligible for the program, an individual must:

  • Be eligible to work in the United States, and
  • Be a resident of, or working in, Minnesota at the time employment ended, and
  • Meet at least one of the following categories:
      • Is part of an Individual or Small Group Layoff
      • Is part of a Permanent Closure or Mass Layoff
      • Was self-employed, but now unemployed
      • Is a Displaced Homemaker
      • Is a Separating or Separated Member of the U.S Armed Forces (Including National Guard and Reserves)
      • Is Long-Term unemployed
      • Is a Military Spouse
      • Has a Non-Work-Related Injury or Illness
      • Is an Adult who is Low-Income, a recipient of Public Assistance, or is Basic Skills Deficient

 

Our Services

We offer services such as Career and Skills Assessments and Personalized Job Search Assistance. If you are considering training, we may be able to help with tuition and other training-related expenses and support services such as transportation, childcare, and housing assistance.

AEOA receives Minnesota Dislocated Worker funds from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
