Subject:        Notice of Public Hearing and Comment Period for the FFY2021 Energy Assistance Program

The Minnesota Department of Commerce requests your comments on the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2021 Minnesota Energy Assistance Program (EAP).  The federal law authorizing the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) requires public input into the LIHEAP planning process.

Commerce uses a public hearing and comment period for public input. A public hearing and comment period announcement appeared in the June 15, 2020 Minnesota State Register, Volume 44, Number 51. Please see the attached Notice of Public Hearing for details about the public hearing and how to submit comments.

Please consider submitting comments about what works well and what should be revised in the FFY2021 LIHEAP State Plan.

Commerce appreciates your interest and involvement in this vital program for low income Minnesotans. Thank you for your time and consideration.
