Preparing Young Adults for Successful Independent Living

The Free at Last program supports eligible youth by helping them gain real‑world skills, personalized guidance, and new opportunities to build a strong, self‑sufficient future. Eligible youth who have already exited care may also receive assistance with housing needs.

 

Eligibility

Youth ages 16-24 who have been in out‑of‑home placement. Youth who do not meet out‑of‑home placement eligibility criteria may still participate, but will be responsible for program costs.

 

We provide independent living skills through:
  • Experiential education
  • Teamwork
  • Job‑ready skills
  • One‑on‑one case management

 

Participants are required to
  • Attend weekly group meetings
  • Engage in community service projects
  • Take part in outdoor challenge activities
