Getting To Work
Availability:
Aitkin, Carlton, Itasca, Koochiching, and St Louis Counties
Eligibility requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and insurance, have a valid proof of vehicle registration, income below the 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline, and/or currently employed and seeking assistance to maintain and/or increase employment; or currently seeking employment.
Program Description:
Getting to Work Program will provide financial assistance for vehicle repair, maintenance, or down payment assistance for the purchase of a vehicle. Eligible participants will be required to attend one or more instructional courses, Financial Literacy, Credit Counseling, Budgeting Skills, and Basics of Car Maintenance for down payment assistance.
