The mission of Arrowhead Transit is to provide affordable, safe, accessible public transportation in support of independent living and an increased quality of life for the people of Northeastern Minnesota.

has served Carlton County since 1986 and has improved the quality of life for thousands of residents. Our bus service represents a lifeline to residents living in rural areas. In addition to serving county residents, Arrowhead Transit also coordinates Cloquet Dial-A-Ride, providing service to Cloquet residents six days a week.

We provide coordinated public transportation to the residents of the seven county area which include: Aitkin, Carlton, Cook, Itasca, Koochiching, Lake, and St. Louis. Arrowhead Transit provides flexible service with several routes to choose from and with using Dial-A-Ride. Arrowhead Transit is flexible to meet everyone’s needs for transportation.

Our drivers go through an extensive driver’s training program to ensure quality transportation. Also, our buses are well-maintained at our Gilbert site which holds thirty buses, has three service bays, and a wash bay. Buses are comfortably heated and air conditioned according to the seasons.
